Creating Data Store Object

Step By Step Procedure for Creating a Data Store Object:

Data Store Object Serves as a Storage Location for Transaction Data and Master Data. A Data Store which contains,

·        Key Fields

·        Data Fields

·        Navigation Attributes

·        Indexes

Now let’s see the brief image that shows these objects

These Categories are used as per technical specification

Key Fields: Refers To Be Unique records as Per Technical Specifications. Limit we can make is 16 Fields.

Data Fields: Data Fields Refers to the Remaining Part of the Entities is added to the data fields as per technical Specifications. Limit we can make is 749 Fields.

Navigation Attribute: It is an attribute which we have already created in master data/attributes. We want to add the navigation attributes here in this place.

To Create The DSO:

·        To Create DSO, Go to Info Provider and Create the DSO.

·        We Already Fetch Navigation Attributes in Info Provider.

·        Now proceed to start the procedure of creating DSO.

·        Data Store Name Must be a Tech Name Starts with “Z_”.

·        Describe the DSO and create the DSO.

“Template” is used to copy the same fields from one DSO to another as same.

 

·        After Creating DSO name and description we can see this interactive window. Here we shall fetch the fields from characteristics and key figures.

 

·        We have the characteristics and key figures, and we can fetch every field as per technical specifications.

·        In Info Object Catalog, there are characteristics and key figures. Now Fetch the data fields to those data store objects.

 

·        After transferring the fields to the data store objects we shall check and activate the DSO.

 

·        Now the DSO is in Active State.

·        As Per Technical Specifications we can create multiple DSO’s

·        If We Want create the multiple DSO’s, we can Copy or Fetch the same DSO from an another one.

 

·        As creating the another one, we can copy previous DSO name in an template.

·        By Using this we can do same process as like above.

·        Changes can be made as per technical specifications.

·        Here there are multiple DSO has been created.

 

·        Next Step is to process the Info Cubes.

Info Cubes:

It is a Type of Info Provider. Info Cube is a Set of relational tables arranged according to the star schema.

The Data Stores physically in an Info Cube. It consists of number of Info Objects that are filled by structured form.
