User Maintenance in SAP

                   DEFAULT USERS IN SAP :

1)      Usrname   :   sap*
              Pswd        :   06071992

2)      Usrname   :   ddic
       Pswd       :   19920706


Company can change their default user’s password, the above are the standard passwords for the default users.

To Create,Change,Display,Delete,Copy,Lock/Unlock and to Change Password we use the t-code “SU01“.

              CREATING NEW USER ACCOUNT





·       Execute the t-code SU01.
·       Give the username you want to create.
·       Select “create” option.
·       In the address tab, the title and the last name is mandatory. Enter the necessary details and click “logon data” option.


·       In the logon data screen, set the initial password for the user and move to “profiles” tab.
·       In the profile screen, set profiles to the user.
         Ex: SAP_NEW & SAP_ALL
·       Click  save.
·       At the status bar we can see that “user SAPBI01 was saved”.
CHANGING USER DETAILS IN SAP





·       Execute t-code SU01.
·       Give the user name for which you like to change the details.
·       Select “change” icon.
·       You wil be able to change the name, password, address, mail id, valid date for the user,etc..



LOCKING USERS IN SAP
·       Execute the t-code su01.
·       Give the username which you want to lock/unlock.
·       Click the “LOCK” icon
·       Click the lock symbol.
·       At the status bar you will see “user SAPBI01 locked”.
·       To check if the user is locked properly, try to login with the username and password.
·       At the status bar you will get “user is locked. Please notify the person responsible”.

UNLOCKING USERS IN SAP
·       Execute the t-code SU01.
·       Provide the username you want to unlock.
·       Click the “LOCK” symbol.
·       Click the “UNLOCK” icon.
·       At the status bar you will get “user SAPBI01 unlocked, if this is permitted in this system”.
·       To check if the user is unlocked properly, try to login in the username and password.


STEPS TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD FOR A USER IN SAP
·       Execute the t-code SU01.
·       Provide the username and click the “change password” icon.
·       Enter the new password and click continue.
·       You will get “the password was changed” in the status bar.
·       Now you will be able to login with your new password.


DELETING A USER
·       Goto t-code SU01.
·       Give the username you want to delete.
·       Click the “Delete” icon.

·       Select YES.
·       You will find “user SAPBI01 deleted” at the status bar.
·       To confirm your deletion, try to login with the username and password of the user you have deleted.
·       You will get “Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)” at the status bar.
